Weird things

So lacking something actually interesting to write about, I decided to blog about some weird things that have happened recently.

1)  I had a dream about ranch dressing last night.  Weird, huh? The even weirder thing is that I don't really like ranch dressing.  It's okay, but I would much prefer blue cheese any day.  So why ranch in the dream?  Well, all I can remember is that someone needed something to eat and no one had any food.  She was really hungry and everyone was sorry that there was nothing.  But then suddenly, I remembered I had some ranch dressing in my fridge (which is true in real life, cause some came with my celery last week) and was running to go get it when the girl was gone and I woke up.

2)  My bruise is still sore sometimes.  Maybe you know the story of my incident with the ski lift chair over spring break?  Or maybe you know my past history with lift chairs??  Anyway, one hit me pretty hard at the bottom of the mountain and I got this wonderfully dark purple bruise for the next 10 days or so.  Lovely, I know.  It's gone now, but sometimes I'll still feel it.  Ouch.  Weird, cause spring break was nearly 6 weeks ago.

3)  American Idol was on tonight and I didn't exactly love it.  Last week, so many of the songs were awesome and this week was just okay for me, dawg.  haha  ;)  Four weeks til the finale!  Four weeks til I'm crowded around a 6 inch TV in a tent in Mississippi with friends, all of us dying to see which David wins the whole thing.  (cause dontcha think at least ONE of them will be in the finals?)  (And by the way, I am so incredibly excited about going to Mississippi I can barely stand it!! :)  )

4)  And the fourth weird thing of the day:  I got assigned another Latin America paper today--even BEFORE I turned in the last one!  Are you surprised?  Oh okay, me neither.  Oh, how I wish paper writing was weird to me.  But 30 papers this semester and writing's not weird or uncommon or anything.  And with only 4 1/2 papers to go, they don't seem so bad anymore.

What weird things have you noticed recently?

Gas for $3.65 a gallon.

A kiwi clock.

Light until almost 9 pm.

Aftershocks.

Danika winning an Indy race.

And surely more tomorrow!

ugh, yeah I heard about the gas prices.

I LOVE the kiwi clock! (but I love my Kiwi cat even more!)

I like the whole light-til-9 thing. I just love summer. In Alaska, is it light all day long now?

I wish I had felt one of those earthquakes. Were there even more aftershocks other than the one early, early yesterday morning?

And yay for Danika!

I didn't feel the earthquake or any of the aftershocks, but Ken and Justin did.

I dreamt last night that the photocopies our temp receptionist made were all blank because she put them in the photocopier upside down. The copies that I was supposed to use to enter a whole lot of information into the computer today...the originals had to be overnighted to the corp office.

When I fell down the stairs several years ago, the place where I was bruised (my whole side from my knee to my waist) hurt long after the bruise was gone. I think I bruised the bones or something deeper than the skin. I fell right before spring break, so that made wearing shorts a little awkward and a swimming suit was out of the question. I think I had pain until sometime in the summer. I'm sorry to hear you still have pain with yours.

Haven't been watching AI this season, dawg.

Cristy, I bet that was a scary dream!

Not watching Idol? well, why not, dawg?? haha This year has been pretty good. But I have so many favorites that any eliminations from now on will be pretty sad.

See you on Friday!

I'm on the bottom of the remote control totem pole, that's why! Did you forget that there are three men that live in my house? lol Otherwise, I would probably be watching it. That is, if I watched TV...I really don't. Unless "24" is back on.
