Today has been a day full of writing papers (and having a great burrito for lunch) and I've listened to every iTunes playlist that I've made since December. Actually, make that last August. So instead of hearing the same songs over and over, I've been pulling out old records (haha, that sounds much better than "clicking on old(ish) songs that I haven't listened to in a long time) and re-enjoying music that I loved years ago.
...like Lifehouse's "No Name Face" album. Do you remember this one? Solid, thought-provoking lyrics and nice melodies (sorry I can't come up with a better description right now. If you had asked me to describe how Afghanistan's history affects its politics now or about America's internal and external spheres of influence...I probably could do that decently well. ...let's hope my professors think so!)
But anyway, here's one of those songs that I have re-loved today.
"I am falling into grace
To the unknown to where you are
And faith makes everybody scared
It's the unknown, the don't-know
That keeps me hanging on and on and on to you"
(I didn't know they played at the Olympics! Any idea what year?)
What music have you re-loved recently? Anything I should know about? (after all, I DO have a 12 hour drive coming up in a week and music suggestions are always welcome! :) )
